The Head Unit Processor is a testament to both craftsmanship and control. Its distinctive volume wheel is crafted from 1 kg of gold-plated brass and mounted on precision-machined Swiss bearings. The Head Unit Processor is an in-room statement processor. Together with the iconic volume wheel and piano lacquer, it is the perfect partner for the equally outstanding Steinway loudspeakers.
Now featuring HDMI inputs and outputs, the Head Unit Processor can function as a media center for high-performance stereo systems and surround sound systems (up to 12 native channels). It also incorporates RoomPerfect™ room correction to calibrate your speakers to the room acoustics and supports immersive video formats, including 8K with the new high dynamic range formats.

Iconic volume wheel design
The gold-plated volume wheel with double Swiss bearings is iconic for Steinway Lyngdorf – it dates back to the company’s very first product, the milestone-setting digital amplifier Lyngdorf Millennium. Adjusting the volume level is a haptic experience, while the central display shows volume level and other information.
Full control panel on top
While the front wheel is intuitively reduced to controlling the volume level, the top panel gives full control over all functions. Some main functions have direct buttons, while the scroll wheel and push button in the middle operate the menu shown in the main display. The Head Unit can also be controlled over the Steinway Lyngdorf app.
Complete audio/video media center
The elegant design hides a complete media control center. It can be the centerpiece of a pure stereo music system capable of high-res audio, or even control the audio and video of a multichannel home cinema. The Head Unit also incorporates RoomPerfect™, a technology to adapt the Steinway & Sons speakers to the acoustics of your room, always ensuring the best sound performance.
