You can use the Lyngdorf Remote App (Android and IOS) for playing audio files from a USB drive or NAS (Network Attached Storage). A Roon server setup and Spotify apps will be able to connect directly, whereas all media player applications based on the universal DLNA communication will be able to connect to the processor and activate playback. AirPlay functionality will allow you to stream audio from your portable Apple device to the processor.
Dolby Vision is supported, both standard and low latency. HDR10 is supported. HDR10+ is not supported. HLG is supported. Advanced HDR by Technicolor is not supported.
Yes.
No. The source and the TV communicate through the processor in order to find the optimal video resolution. The video settings of the processor are for handling specific problems in this communication as well as controlling situations where two televisions are connected to the HDMI outputs of the processor and there are conflicts in what video resolutions these televisions will accept.
No. The device can support any video resolution or color space in HDMI pass-through mode, provided the total bandwidth for the resolution is less than 18 Gb/s.
HDCP 2.2 and HDCP 2.3 are the same for the user. The only difference is in the handling of chips for the manufacturer. First versions will feature HDCP 2.2 and, when ready, we will change to HDCP 2.3. There is no difference in functionality for the user, only in the way we handle the chips in production.
No. The MP-60 does not feature a video media player, so you need to stream to the television and have the audio extracted by the television like with a normal TV show.
Yes, but only as the MP-60 HDMI 2.1 version or after the 2.1 module upgrade. The MP-60 will allow for 4K video pass-through only, while HDMI 2.1 relates to having a pass-through of 8K video signals. HDMI 2.1 brings new requirements for installations, cables and every connected component for handling 8K video over HDMI. Please read and follow our HDMI Cable Recommendations, and check whether every part of your system is suitable for HDMI 2.1.

The software can be uploaded on the processor from the remote server through the setup page, if the amplifier is connected to your local network – or via file transfer. Remote server: Find the IP address by pressing the OK button on the remote twice. Enter the IP address in the browser of a PC or handheld device on the same network. Follow the instructions under the Manage Software and select Update Software. File transfer: Download the new software from www.lyngdorf.com. Save the .gpg file on your PC or an USB stick. Make sure you ‘eject’ the USB stick correctly from the PC. Connect the USB stick to the usb input of the processor. For both: Go into Manage Software and select Update Software. Select the software either from the remote server or from file and Start Update.
On the MP-50, there are 16 outputs, but the DSP can only decode 12 channels. The rest can be used for woofers, bi-amping, and matrixed channels (mixed channels). On the MP-60, the DSP can decode 16 channels – for example, wide or top middle speakers.
4K60 4:4:4 support is achieved via DSC compression. This means the receiver needs to support this (the output does not support PoE, Power-over-ethernet, so the receiver needs to be externally powered). It is theoretically better to keep the signal in the digital domain as far as possible to avoid noise/distortion being collected by analog cables. If your processor is close to the amplifiers, the balanced analog connections are extremely good. If you need to have long cables between the processor and SDA-2400, digital cables are preferred.
